HENDERSON BELIEVES LIVERPOOL CAN MAKE TOP-FOUR

Liverpool assistant captain Jordan Henderson feels Liverpool can still catch second-placed Manchester City but believes they may need to win 10 of their last 11 league games to guarantee a top-four finish.

 
Jordan Henderson believes Liverpool can win 10 of their final 11 Premier League games and secure a spot in the top four.

Acting captain Henderson opened the scoring in Liverpool's 2-1 victory over defending champions City on Sunday as they went up to fifth -- their highest position since October.
Liverpool are now just two points off the top four and only two behind City and Henderson took heart from their fine finish last season to argue they could overhaul Manuel Pellegrini's team.
"Listen, it's always possible," the midfielder said. "The main thing to do would be to concentrate on ourselves as much as we can, keep the momentum going and see where it takes us really.
"There are 11 games to go this time. We finished strongly last year, we won 12 of our last 14 games. We have learned a lot and hopefully we can use that experience in the last 11 games and give it a real go and win as many games as we can."
Liverpool have taken 48 points so far but that leaves them still 31 adrift of the 79 Arsenal managed last season when they came fourth.
Brendan Rodgers' team can only afford to drop two points if they are to reach the 79-point mark and asked if he thought Liverpool might need 10 victories in their remaining 11 games, Henderson replied: "I think so. I think we have just got to aim to win every game and I think we have got the ability to do that.
"We have got a good enough squad to be doing that but we just have to make sure that we don't get too carried away with the result. But it is a big result and it gives us a lot of confidence going into [the game against Burnley on] Wednesday. Hopefully we can just keep building."
Henderson believes the sky is the limit for Philippe Coutinho, who extended his fine recent form with a spectacular winner against City on Sunday.
"He is unbelievable really, the quality that he has got," England international Henderson said. "He can go as high as he wants. He is exactly the same in training as what you see on the pitch.
"He works ever so hard and he has got a great mentality. He can go as high as he wants, he is a massive player for us. He has just signed a long-term contract, which is big for the club. You have to keep him for as long as you can here."
