Borussia Dortmund rode their luck to book their place in the final of the DFB-Pokal with a 2-0 win over Wolfsburg.
First-half goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Robert Lewandowski, with his 100th competitive strike for Dortmund, decided the tie, but the Wolves were left wondering how they failed to score after carving out several great chances.
Dortmund will take on the winner of the second semi-final between Bayern Munich and Kaiserslautern in Berlin.
Mkhitaryan gave Jurgen Klopp's side an ideal start with the opening goal after 12 minutes, making the most of good work from Marco Reus to score with a smart low shot.
Wolfsburg almost levelled in the 42nd minute as Junior Malanda headed against a post and fellow Belgian Kevin De Bruyne missed from the follow-up.
Instead Dortmund went down the other end and doubled their lead, Lewandowski controlling a Reus pass and slamming his shot into the top corner.
Malanda missed a golden chance to pull one back in the second half, heading over from De Bruyne's cross when unmarked in front of goal.
Roman Weidenfeller made a brilliant close-range save to keep out another Malanda effort and also diverted Luiz Gustavo's follow-up on to a post as Dortmund's goal lived a charmed life.
