GHANA AND ALGERIA QUALIFIES FOR THE WORLD CUP

The Black Stars of Ghana made it to the third-successive FIFA World Cup after seeing off Egypt 7-3 on aggregate, despite the hosts putting up a more spirited display than the opening leg, winning 2-1 on the night.Amr Zaki and Gedo secured the victory on home soil, where their first-half display gave occasional hints that something special could be in store, but Kevin-Prince Boateng's late strike sent Ghana to Brazil on the back of a comfortable triumph over two legs.
Meanwhile, the Desert Warriors of Algeria recovered from defeat in Ouagadougou to reach the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil on away goals thanks to a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso, triumphing 3-3 on aggregate. In a fractious game in Blida a solitary Madjid Bougherra goal decided the tie, with the visitors failing to greatly trouble the hosts as they had chased their debut appearance at the global finals. Instead Algeria make it successive appearances at the competition
