TERRY MAKES A COME BACK TO THE CHELSEA SQUAD

Chelsea Captain John Terry will be making a return to the Chelsea team that will face Everton in a premier league match on saturday.
Jose Mourinho expects Chelsea’s “stability” to return with John Terry’s recovery from injury, while confirming David Luiz will miss Saturday’s game against Everton with a groin problem.
Last week’s 2-0 FA Cup defeat at Manchester City saw the Stamford Bridge side concede more than one goal in a game for the first time since Dec. 6, and Mourinho acknowledged it was ‘not good enough.’The Portuguese believes Terry’s leadership can only aid his team against the Toffees this weekend, while the Europa League holders also prepare for a key Champions League last-16 tie at Galatasaray on Wednesday.“John is fit and he plays,” Mourinho said. “I don’t think about [Galatasaray] so the team will be the team I think is strong for the game.“He’s a stable player. He doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. He has this basic level of performance that gives stability to the team. Especially a team with a lot of people in other areas. That stability is giving us a good position.“The captain’s armband doesn’t mean so much. It means a voice on the pitch. I can’t control that. I don’t arrive at the players when they’re defending a goal far away from my position."The distances; the line where you start pressing the opponent; to have on the pitch some player with this kind of voice that can transmit what I need.“I think step by step, we’ll have that [leadership]. It’s something that a player learns how to do. I think there’s not a problem. Now John is back and plays tomorrow with Gary [Cahill], and this pair is giving us good stability in the team. I’m happy with that area."Mourinho said his side were below-par at the Etihad last Saturday, and fully deserved to lose, but back his players to come back from the cup exit.“I think the feeling after the [City defeat] was a simple feeling. It was the feeling of a simple one after a defeat when you deserve to lose. When you deserve it. It doesn’t matter the offside goal as it killed the game but we weren’t in the game before that.“We were not good enough. We have to work hard to be back to our level. We could train with all the players together.“We didn’t have the group that played and didn’t play.
Now and again you can do that. We did that last month and that’s important to work in a team.”One player who will be absent for the Blues is David Luiz, with Mourinho admitting he is unsure of whether the 26-year-old will be fit in time for his side’s European last-16 tie in Turkey on Feb. 26 with the squad looking thin in midfield.“David Luiz is injured,” Mourinho confirmed. “It’s something in the muscle he’s feeling. He’s not ready for this game. We’re going to see if he’s ready for the next one.“The next is Champions League and he has to play in Champions League as [Nemanja] Matic and [Mohamed] Salah can’t play Champions League. We need him, if possible, to be ready for Gala.”
The club posted a picture of Terry back in training on their Instagram page on Friday afternoon ahead of the game against the Toffees.
