Catalan giants Barcelona ended their goalscoring drought with a comfortable win - in which their academy kids shone - over HJK Helsinki. The goals came from Munir (2goals), Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Bartra and Sandro.
Barcelona ended their goalscoring drought with a comfortable win over HJK Helsinki
Luis Enrique continued his goalkeeping rotation and started Masip between the posts. He filled the voids left by Messi, Neymar and Suárez with Pedro, Rafinha and Munir.
Barça started strongly and were rewarded just four minutes into the game when Iniesta's ball found Munir, who fired home a left-footed shot from inside the box. Barely four minutes later, Sergi Roberto went it alone and broke through Helsinki's defence to score Barça's second.
Despite defending in numbers, the home side were no match for Barcelona's attacking onslaught and Munir headed home the Catalans' third of the game in the 16th minute, from a Rafinha pass.
Barça's fourth goal showed up HJK's defensive frailties. Rafinha picked up the ball on the right wing. He cut inside, dribbling past any defender that tried to stop him until he reached the by-line, where he crossed to the penalty spot for Munir to drill home. The home keeper saved his shot and the ball found its way to Pedro, who left the ball to Piqué for the defender to calmly slot past Tørnes.
After the break, Bartra scored the visitors' fifth with a sublime header from substitute Rakitic's pass. With the game already won, Sandro closed out the scoring in the 82nd minute when his right-footed effort across goal found the back of the net.
