CHELSEA'S BAMFORD JOINS MIDDLESBROUGH ON LOAN

Chelsea starlet Patrick Bamford has completed a loan move to Middlesbrough until 1 January.
The 20-year-old forward will continue his progression having enjoyed productive spells with MK Dons and Derby County last season.
He joined the Blues early in 2012 from Nottingham Forest.
Bamford joins Chelsea team-mate Kenneth Omeruo on-loan at Boro as the two clubs continue to forge a close relationship, and the Championship side are still hoping Lewis Baker will also arrive at the Riverside Stadium before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

The news that Bamford has signed will be a huge boost to boss Aitor Karanka, who has been looking to bolster his attacking options in recent weeks.

“Everyone knows that Patrick is a very good player with a bright future in the game,” Karanka told the club's official website. “He scored a lot of goals during his previous loan spells and will be a good addition to our squad.

“I’m looking forward to working with him.”
