The move is now subject to Fernando agreeing personal terms with AC Milan and passing a medical examination.

The Spanish striker has been charged with the responsibility of filling the void left by Mario Balotelli at San Siro, after being deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international has endured a troubled career at Stamford Bridge, struggling for form following his then British record-breaking £50 million move from Liverpool.
