According to French newspaper, 'L'Equipe', Victor Valdés' future with Monaco seems a lot less certain than it did a few weeks ago. The club has decided not to go ahead with the pre-contract that the Catalan keeper signed with them. L'Equipe suggests that this is because the player may not have passed his medical tests and that he is injured.
The player's decision to leave Barcelona is said to have been based on this agreement with Monaco. After breaking his ligaments, the Catalan club were understanding with the player while Monaco gave all the signs that he was still a wanted man. Now it seems they are getting cold feet.
