EVERTON'S BARKLEY RULED OUT OF PREMIER LEAGUE OPENER

Ross Barkley has been ruled out of Everton's opening Premier League game at Leicester City on Saturday after injuring his leg in training.
The England midfielder, who has been with Everton since the age of 11, left the club's training ground in a brace and will undergo a scan this weekend. He could be out for six to eight weeks.
Barkley, Everton’s Young Player of the Season last year,  played in the club’s last three pre-season games and featured on 38 occasions last year, scoring three times.
The 20-year-old, who signed a new long-term contract at Goodison Park earlier this month, could be replaced in Everton’s starting line-up this weekend by new signing Muhamed Besic.
Roberto Martinez’s side come up against Arsenal and Chelsea in their next two league games and Barkley appears to be facing a race to be fit for those games.
A long-term injury could rule him out of England's Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia.
Barkley was hoping to establish himself as one of manager Roy Hodgson's first choice players after making two substitute appearances and one start in Brazil during the summer.
