Van Gaal has reportedly decided the United trio need a spell out on loan before assessing their long-term future.

And according to reports, as many as SEVEN rival clubs are keen on Welbeck, Cleverley and Zaha.

Hull were linked with a move for Welbeck recently and could revive their interest while Sunderland would be keen on bringing the England striker on loan for a second spell.

Cleverley is admired by Everton manager Roberto Martinez - who managed him at Wigan - while West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is also a big fan.

And Zaha is fancied by his old club Crystal Palace, Newcastle and QPR.

All three could have a future at United but Van Gaal wants them to get more first-team football away from Manchester first.

The Dutchman has ruled out letting any of the trio join one of the Red Devils' top-six rivals.
