Spain international midfielder Xabi Alonso will be suspended for the UEFA Super Cup final against Sevilla on August 12 in Cardiff.
UEFA Appeals Body rejected Real Madrid's appeal against the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body's decision.
Xabi Alonso to miss Real Madrid's Super Cup Final
Xabi Alonso has been handed a one-match ban by Uefa's disciplinary committee for invading the pitch during their 4-1 Champions League final win over Atletico Madrid last season.
Alonso was forced to watch the game against Atletico from the stands due to another suspension after picking up a yellow card in the semi-final clash with Bayern Munich.
He ran onto the pitch, however, after Gareth Bale netted the 2-1 in extra-time and has now been punished for improper conduct.

The appeal that Real Madrid sent to UEFA stated that they deemed the punishment to be disproportionate to the crime, and that a more logical punishment would be a fine or a one-match ban in the Champions League and not in another competition like the European Super Cup.
The UEFA Appeals Body has accepted the UEFA official's report which clearly states that Xabi Alonso did run onto the pitch to celebrate the goal with the rest of his teammates.
