OSAZE TO JOIN STOKE CITY

Osaze Peter Odemwingie will join Stoke City as Cardiff and Stoke City are set to exchange strikers in a move that will see Peter Odemwingie move to the Potteries and Kenwyne Jones head in the opposite direction. The swap deal will be finalised after Jones has a medical in south Wales, according to reports.
Odemwingie, 32, joined Cardiff on a two-year contract from West Brom this summer but has managed just two goals in 17 appearances in all competitions, with his last coming on Oct. 5 against Newcastle. The Nigeria international is aiming for more regular first-team football as he looks to earn a place in the Super Eagles' World Cup squad.
Jones, meanwhile, has been advocating for a move away from Stoke for some time, even allegedly refusing to play against Liverpool recently.
Potters boss Mark Hughes subsequently fined Jones two weeks' wages and left him off the squad against Crystal Palace.
The Trinidad and Tobago international was a club-record signing for Stoke when he joined the club in August 2010 from Sunderland for 8 million pounds. He started the current campaign brightly with an August hat trick in the Capital One Cup against Walsall, but he has only made one Premier League appearance in the past three months.
