PSG ESCAPES DEFEAT

Paris Saint-Germain narrowly avoided a second straight defeat in a scrappy 1-1 draw at mid-table Guingamp in the Ligue 1.
Centre-back Alex headed home from a corner in the 87th minute after striker Mustapha Yatabare did the same three minutes earlier to give Guingamp the lead. PSG was outplayed by Guingamp for much of the match, three days after losing 2-1 at home to Montpellier in the French Cup.
Second-place Monaco can close the gap at the top to three points if it beats Marseille at home on Sunday.
PSG manager Laurent Blanc called the pitch "detestable" in the rainy conditions.
With PSG star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic having a rare off day, Yatabare caught the eye and rose impressively to head Guingamp in front from Rachid Alioui's corner in the 84th minute.
PSG was missing captain Thiago Silva, who sat out the match with an ankle injury and was replaced at center half by Marquinhos, who was again out of sorts after a poor match against Montpellier.PSG midfielder Javier Pastore, who had a disappointing game, was taken off midway through the second half and replaced by winger Lucas.
Nantes and Reims played out a 0-0 stalemate that maintains both teams' unlikely assault on the top six in Ligue 1.Reims' Odair Fortes came closest to winning a low-key encounter with a shot that was tipped onto the bar in the first half.
The result sees Nantes climb to fifth, a place ahead of Reims on goal difference, with both sides leapfrogging Marseille in the standings.Montpellier capped a fine week with an impressive 3-1 win over Nice.
Having been in the midst of a relegation scrap a week ago, Rolland Courbis' men have since beaten Sochaux in the league, Paris Saint-Germain in the cup and now in-form Nice.
M'baye Niang and Hilton had put them 2-0 up before Nice eventually stirred through substitute Alexy Bosetti, but Souleymane Camara wrapped things up late on.

Ligue 1 strugglers Valenciennes claimed a point against Lorient in a 1-1 draw.Saliou Ciss' 39th-minute own goal had given Lorient the lead but Gregory Pujol netted the equaliser for the home side shortly after the break to claim a vital point.Ligue 1's bottom sides Ajaccio and Sochaux shared the points in a 1-1 draw thanks to Vincent Nogueira's stoppage-time equaliser.Benjamin Andre got Ajaccio off to the perfect start in the eighth minute when he beat goalkeeper Simon Pouplin at the far post, and the Corsican side looked to have claimed their second win of the season until Nogueira levelled in the 93rd minute.
The match between Toulouse and Bastia was postponed because of the local river's rising water levels.Toulouse's stadium is on an island and the city's prefect has banned any access because of the threat from the Garonne River, Ligue 1 said in a statement. No new date has been set.
