REAL MADRID TRIED TO SNATCH LEWANDOWSKI

Robert Lewandowski's agent has alleged that Real Madrid tried to hijack Bayern Munich’s deal to secure his client's services.
Lewandowski, 25, has signed a five-year deal with the European champions and will join them in July after his contract with Borussia Dortmund has expired. However, Maik Barthel claims that Madrid were interested in the Dortmund striker and made a late attempt to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu."There was an immoral offer from Real Madrid," Lewandoski’s representative is quoted as saying by Spiegel Online.Madrid were reportedly willing to offer Lewandowski a salary of 9.5-million-euros- a-year as well as a signing on fee of 10 million euros.Barthel, though, insists that he and Lewandowski were not prepared to go against the agreement previously struck with Bayern."We listened to their offer out of respect for such a big club,” he added. “But breaking our word never crossed our mind."Meanwhile, Lewandowski has written a letter to Dortmund supporters promising to give his all for the club before he moves on to Bayern.“Dear BVB fans, I would like to send you a short message,'' he wrote on Dortmund’s official website. “We have half a year ahead of us in which we have several objectives which we want to reach together.“Even if there are going to be some fans among you who do not agree with my decision, I hope you still give me your support. I will definitely give everything for BVB!''
