The 21-year-old midfielder moves to the Eredivisie following Vitesse’s 2-2 draw at home to SC Cambuur on Saturday.
McEachran joined Chelsea as an eight-year-old and helped our Under-18s win the FA Youth Cup in 2010, making his Chelsea first-team debut soon after, aged just 17, in a Champions League game against Zilina.
McEachran has previously spent time on loan at Wigan Athletic,Watford, Middlesbrough and Swansea City.
He is the latest Chelsea player to link up with Vitesse after Brazilian defender Wallace and Bertrand Traore signed season-long deals in the summer.
Ghanaian international Christian Atsu, currently on loan at Everton,made 25 appearances and scored six goals during his stay with the club last season.
Josh McEachran is a regular for England Under-21s and was part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Toulon Tournament in May.
