Courtois made his competitive debut for Jose Mourinho’s side in yesterday’s impressive 3-1 win over Burnley, with the Belgian being given the nod over the Chelsea veteran.
And now his part in the Blues’ future is set to be cemented with a new five-year deal, which will see his weekly wage triple to £90,000, according to Goal.com.
Courtois has two years remaining on his current contract, which he signed when joining Chelsea in 2011.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are keeping close tabs on the situation, with the French duo both keen to make a move for Cech.
Mourinho believes the 32-year-old will stay and fight Courtois for his place between the sticks, but Chelsea are also unlikely to stand in the Czech’s way should he wish to secure guaranteed first-team football elsewhere before the end of the transfer window.
Chelsea already have an experienced understudy in place should Petr Cech leave. Mark Schwarzer, Cech’s understudy last season, signed a one-year extension in July.

Cech, whose agent confirmed PSG and Monaco made an informal enquiry for his services last month, has admitted he will not be happy if he is left on the bench.

The Cezch has established himself as one of the world's outstanding keepers during his decade at Stamford Bridge.

Since joining Chelsea from Rennes for in 2004, he has made 479 appearances for the club and won the Champions League, the Europa League, three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and three League Cups.
