SAMI KHEDIRA MOST LIKELY TO LEAVE REAL MADRID

Germany international midfielder Sami Khedira looks certain to leave Real Madrid after he and the club have been locked in an ongoing silent war that looks unlikely to end until just a few minutes before the summer transfer window closes on 1st September.

Real-Khedira stand-off continues

Sami Khedira is very likely to leave Real Madrid

Negotiations between the player's agent, Jorg Neubauer and the club broke down midway through July and both parties are waiting for the other to make a move to resolve a tense situation that will only get worse as the end of the transfer window approaches.

Real Madrid and Khedira held several conversations last season to agree a new deal for the midfielder, but no deal was reached due to what both parties have described as irreconcilable financial differences.

Real Madrid's offer falls some €2m short of the German international's expectations, and this appears to be the only reason that a new deal has not been agreed, given that both parties are happy with every other aspect of the negotiations.

However, Real Madrid suspect that Khedira has reached a deal with another club for next season, which is why he neither wants to sign a new deal for the money on offer, nor does he want to leave the Bernabéu right now, but 'Los Blancos' have no intention of letting him leave on a free transfer which is why they're pushing him towards the door.
