TORRES MAKES HIS LATEST HORROR MISS IN CHELSEA'S PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY AGAINST WERDER BREMEN

It’s fair to say Fernando Torres’ time at Chelsea hasn’t been a resounding success – and his latest horror miss doesn’t indicate a likely change in fortunes any time soon.

The Spaniard was part of the Blues’ 3-0 pre-season defeat to German side Werder Bremen yesterday, but had a glorious chance to pull his side level with the score at 1-0.
A cross was flicked on by new-boy Diego Costa and eight-yards from goal, with no challenge coming in from a defender, Torres failed to even work the goalkeeper, sending his side-footed volley high over the bar.
But, to be fair to the striker, it’s definitely an improvement on his horror miss against Manchester United back in 2011.
