TORRES SET TO LEAVE CHELSEA FOR ROMA

Spanish striker Fernando Torres could leave Chelsea after the Stamford Bridge club held talks about a swap deal with Mattia Destro of Roma, according to The Times.

Destro is among the most coveted strikers in Europe and it is reported that Chelsea’s proposal is to sign the £20million-rated Italian and allow Torres to move on loan to Roma for the season.

Torres has scored just 20 goals in 110 Premier League games for The Blues since joining from Liverpool for a record £50m in 2011.
Despite scoring some important goals for, Torres is viewed by many to have flopped at Stamford Bridge.
Destro, 23, scored 13 goals for Roma in Serie A last season and is believed to be worth around £20m.
The Times reports that Roma are interested in signing Torres if the clubs can reach an agreement over the Spain star's £180,000-a-week wages.
