Former Celtic striker Georgios Samaras signs for West Brom on a two-year deal.
The 29-year-old Greece international moved to the Baggies as a free agent after leaving Celtic
Park in the summer.
Georgios Samaras is the Baggies's ninth signing of the summer.
"He has played a lot of football at the highest levels - Champions League, European
Championships and World Cups - and the feedback we've got on him, from people like Neil
Lennon, states he thrives on the big occasion," head coach Alan Irvine told West Brom's
Samaras scored 73 goals in 249 games after joining Celtic from City in 2008.
It was Samaras's penalty that secured a 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast which confirmed Greece's
place in the last 16 of this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
