Sunday was a very special day for Kaká. The former Real Madrid
schemer broke the deadlock against Atalanta and, in so doing, reached
the 100-goal mark for AC Milan. The Brazilian celebrated the feat in
style, racing over to the touchline and holding up a shirt with his name
and the number 100 on the back. He subsequently added to his tally with
his second of the game after the interval.
The 'Rossoneri' fan favourite rejoined Milan this summer after five
years in Madrid and has made 12 Serie A appearances – 10 from the start –
scoring three times. In total, Kaká has hit the net 75 times for the
club in the Italian league, 24 times in the Champions League, once in
the 2007 Club World Cup victory against Boca Juniors and once in the
2007 UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla.
The Brazilian has been one of the few bright spots for Massimiliano
Allegri's struggling side as he looks to rediscover his top form. He has
also played four times in the Champions League, registering in Milan's
thrashing of Celtic in Glasgow.
Kaká has his eyes on the prize of earning a place in Luiz Felipe
Scolari's squad for the upcoming World Cup on home soil, which will be
named in May. Having missed the cut for last year's Confederations Cup,
the 2007 Ballon d'Or winner is fighting to force himself back into the
Brazil coach's plans.
