MAN UNITED BEATEN BY TOTTENHAM

Sherwood tutored Tottenham leapfrogged Manchester United into sixth place with a 2-1 win over the Premier League champions at Old Trafford.
Spurs’ record in Manchester is not good but then David Moyes’ men have not been in good form at home this season either. Indeed the Spurs, rejuvenated under new boss Tim Sherwood, came out quickly in the first-half and went into the lead with a fine header from in-form striker Emmanuel Adebayor.Christen Eriksen then headed home from close range to double the lead in the second half, but Danny Welbeck got in behind to slot home his fifth in five games a minute later to give United a chance.
Adnan Januzaj tried to get his side back into it and there were calls for a penalty as Hugo Lloris raced out to take down Ashley Young, but two late saves from the French goalkeeper meant the Red Devils were unable to complete a late comeback and slipped to seventh.
