THOUSANDS OF FANS BID FAREWELL TO EUSEBIO

Real Madrid fans in the Santiago Bernabéu along with the players of their team and those of Celta Vigo have paid their respects to the memory of Eusebio da Silva Ferreira, who died yesterday, with a respectful minute's silence before Monday night's match in the Spanish capital.
Meanwhile in the Estadio de La Luz in Lisbon there was an unforgettable farewell for the "king" of Portuguese football. Real Madrid and Celta Vigo joined in with their own tribute before the match to pay their respects after the unexpected loss of the football legend.
The minute’s silence in the Santiago Bernabéu was particularly poignant for Cristiano Ronaldo who has lost a friend, and it was perfectly respected by the near 55,000 spectators that were already in their seats.
The stadium scoreboard showed images from Eusebio's career as a player and his visits to the famous old stadium with solemn music playing in the background.
