Former Brazil striker Ronaldinho Gaúcho is set to play in the Major League Soccer and the most likely destination is the New York Red Bulls.

According to www.uol.com, the Brazilian player's agent has held talks with the club's directors and MLS officials.

The player's salary could be a problem as his usual pay is above the limit set by the MLS. The forward - who earns €2.25 million a year - would be the third player in the squad to surpass the league's wage cap. Each team can have three players earning more than the imposed salary limit.

The 32-year-old former FIFA Ballon d'Or winner announced few days ago that he will not continue to play for Atlético Mineiro of Brazil.
