CHELSEA CLOSES UP ARSENAL

Chelsea closed up the gap on Arsenal in the EPL title race when they produced an inspired second-half performance to come from a goal down to beat Southampton and claim three more Premier League points with a 3-1 win.
The Blues were stunned after only 13 seconds when Michael Essien's wayward back pass allowed Jay Rodriguez in to finish smartly beyond Petr Cech.
But Gary Cahill levelled with an improvised header soon after half-time and then, with Chelsea growing in strength as the half wore on, John Terry flicked home another header to put the Blues in front.
Demba Ba slid an excellent low finish past substitute keeper Paolo Gazzaniga, on for the injured Artur Boruc in the second half, to wrap things up.
Liverpool lost ground on table-topping Arsenal as strikes from Jake Livermore and David Meyler, along with a Martin Skrtel own goal, gave Hull a surprise 3-1 home victory at the KC Stadium.

The Reds were without the prolific Daniel Sturridge who will be out of football action for 8 weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage in training on Friday.
Hull had gone ahead through Livermore's first of the season, via another Skrtel deflection. Steven Gerrard’s free-kick tied things up at the break, but the home side were deservedly in front again when Meyler buried a low shot in the 72nd minute.
Brendan Rodgers’ side lost all sense of shape as they attempted to retrieve the game, and conceded a third when Tom Huddlestone's off-target effort was deflected in by Skrtel.
Wayne Rooney scored twice to deny Andre Villas-Boas' Tottenham a morale-boosting win over champions Manchester United at White Hart Lane as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Kyle Walker scored a free-kick to put the hosts ahead in the first half, but the England right-back inadvertently set up Rooney for Manchester United's equaliser on the half hour.
Villas-Boas thought he had gained a much-needed win when Sandro's 25-yard screamer sailed past David De Gea, but Rooney scored a crucial penalty to make it 2-2.
The Spurs head coach, whose future has come under scrutiny recently, asked his players for a response to their 6-0 defeat to Manchester City last week -- and he got it. Spurs put on a far better display, with their passing slick and their tempo high.
Manchester City notched up another emphatic home win as they saw off Swansea 3-0 win at the Etihad.
The visitors held out for only eight minutes before Alvaro Negredo broke the deadlock with a fine free-kick, and doubled their lead in a dominant second half when Yaya Toure shrugged off his defenders and set up Samir Nasri to beat Ashley Williams' challenge and slot home.
The third arrived when James Milner and Pablo Zabaleta teamed up to find Nasri, who buried the opening with his left foot.
