GUARDIOLA EARNS MORE THAN MOURINHO

Pep Guardiola is, according to a study by Brazilian consultancy Pluri, the highest paid coach in the world. According to the agency's information, the Bayern Munich coach earns €17 million a year before tax, followed by José Mourinho, who Chelsea pays €10.03m per season.The highest earning top 3 is completed by Italian Marcello Lippi, who banks €10 million a season from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.Based on these figures, Guardiola receives the same as the wages of 18 out of the 20 coaches in Spain's BBVA La Liga put together. Excluding Carlo Ancelotti (whose income at Real Madrid is estimated to be €7.5 million per year) and Tata Martino (on €5.4m at Barça), the salaries of the remaining coaches when added together still fall short of Pep Guardiola's €17 million.Besides the previously mentioned Ancelotti and Martino, who are among the 10 highest earning coaches, only 'El Cholo' Simeone, in 26th place with €2.5 million, and Del Bosque at the no 30 spot with €2.35 million, figure in the world's top 30.Fabio Capello (Russia) is the highest paid national team coach, receiving €7.8 million every year. Roy Hodgson (England) ranks second, with €3.5 million, followed by Cesare Prandelli (Italy), banking €3 million a year.
