The former Brazilian player and Legend, Ronaldo Nazario De Lima, believes that Lionel Messi's injury break will help the Argentinean to "recharge his batteries" and he sees him as the favourite to take this year's Ballon d'Or.
"Messi has been playing a huge amount of games for five years, and has been the biggest star in the world of football.
Now with this injury, which is not that serious but is making him miss
lots of games, maybe he is getting some rest so he can recharge his
batteries," he said.
Despite the injury, Ronaldo believes that Messi will claim his fifth consecutive Ballon d'Or on 13th January in Zurich. "I think that Messi will win it again," said the former Barcelona and Real Madrid player.
