NIGERIA'S ONAZI SET TO SIGN A NEW 4-YEAR DEAL WITH LAZIO

Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi is close to agreeing a new four year deal to keep him at SS Lazio of Italy till 2018 at the end of this month with a buy out clause of €10m,according to Calciomercato.it.

The 21 year old combative midfielder who has demanded for an annual pay of €1 million, five times what he now gets, to stay at the Serie A side will receive an annual salary of €700,000 euros,the website also states.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito is ready to do all he can to keep Onazi out of the hands of his English suitors with Liverpool,Sunderland,Southampton and Everton showing keen interest in him.
Onazi, who has won 21 caps for Nigeria, made his Serie A debut in 2012.
He won the Coppa Italia with Lazio in 2013, made 29 appearances in Serie A for the capital club last term, and was in the Nigeria squad for the World Cup in Brazil.
