Radamel Falcao made history this Sunday, being the first ever Colombian to play for Manchester United.

The ex-Atlético de Madrid forward came on to the field in the 67th minute of Manchester United's 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers. He didn't score, but all the same it was a very happy day for Falcao. Not only did he play his first game for United, but his new club registered their first league win of the season, with the help of a terrific contribution from Ángel Di María.

Falcao did have a chance to make the score 5-0, latching on to a clearance from the opposing goalkeeper but his shot missed.

"It's always difficult to come here and adapt to the Premier League, but my new players have done very well", Van Gaal said of Manchester United's latest signings, of whom Daley Blind was also outstanding on Sunday.
