South Africa haven’t had the best of results against Nigeria but Vilakazi, who scored twice in Friday 3-0 defeat of Sudan, says it’s a chance for them to change things.
“There’s no pressure at all, but it’s a chance for us to change the situation,” he said.
“This group we have now; there’s a lot of motivation. The coach also has a lot of confidence in us and I think it’s different now. We want to make a change as a team.”
Nigeria lost their opening fixture on Saturday against Congo and the Bidvest Wits captain knows that the Super Eagles will be coming here looking for a positive result.
“We watched the game [against Congo] and I think they would want to turn around whatever happened to them. They want to come here and get something out of it. “But I think we also would be prepared and on the day the right attitude is the most important thing. If we work together, fight for each other we’ll able to get positive result at the end of the day. ”
South African will host Nigeria on Wednesday night at the Cape Town Stadium, with kick-off at 20h00 local time (7pm Nigerian time).
