The Uruguayan national team will be able to call on Luis Suárez in the next international break in October, in which they have two friendlies lined up.

Luis Suárez to make 'early' Uruguay comeback

After some back and forth with FIFA, Uruguay have been given the all-clear to field the striker in these games, as his international ban (of which he still has eight matches left to serve) only applies to competitive action following the CAS ruling.

Barcelona have welcomed this development, as they feel that any game time the forward can get under his belt is positive ahead of his return to competitive football. It is worth remembering that the Catalan giants' first fixture after Suárez's club ban comes to an end is against none other than Real Madrid.

Uruguay, meanwhile, are delighted with the news as Suárez's presence will make a big difference to the crowds they will attract and the amount of money they will earn during their Asian tour in October, which includes matches in Saudi Arabia on the 10th and in Oman on the 13th.
