UEFA LIFTS SANCTION ON PSG

Uefa has lifted a partial stadium closure against Paris Saint-Germain which would have applied when they host Barcelona in the Champions League.

Uefa said its appeals body partially upheld PSG's challenge against sanctions for "discriminatory conduct" by fans toward disabled supporters of Chelsea at a quarterfinal match last season.

Uefa had ordered the French champion in July to close two sections of Parc des Princes at their next home Champions League match.

Barcelona visit Paris on September 30.

Instead, Uefa fined PSG €50 000.

PSG were also ordered to make changes at their stadium "in order that people with reduced mobility are better protected," Uefa said.
