The club announced via their website that Rojo will be available for the game on 14th September against Queen Park Rangers - their fourth fixture of this Premier League campaign.

The 24-year-old was transferred from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United two weeks ago for a multi-million fee, but was unable to play in the club's first games because he had not yet received his work permit.

The Red Devils explained that it was possible to push through the application quickly due to the fact that Rojo has played in over 75% of Argentina's international fixtures during the past two years.

The application for another of the club's signings, Ángel Di María, was not subject to delays because the Argentinean holds an Italian passport.

United were one of the biggest movers and shakers during the transfer window, bringing in top-level signings such as Di María and Colombia's Radamel Falcao. However, Louis van Gaal's side have made a poor start to the campaign and are still without a win.
