SZCZESNY BELIEVES ARSENAL ARE VERY STRONG FOR THE NEW SEASON

Arsenal's goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny believes Arsenal are in a very good position to build on last season's FA Cup win.
Szczesny believes Arsenal are in very good shape to build on last season's FA Cup win
Speaking in New York ahead of a pre-season friendly with Thierry Henry's Red Bulls, Szczesny told Sky Sports News: "I think we're stronger.
"We've not lost anyone - obviously Bacary went but we signed a good right-back in Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez coming in is a massive player for us - hopefully he can have a big impact.
"I believe we're stronger, we have more experience and we managed to win our first trophy with the FA Cup, so the pressure's off and mentally we'll be more prepared as well."
Arsenal came up short several times against their major Premier League rivals last season, losing heavily at Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.
And midfielder Mathieu Flamini said: "Hopefully we have learned from last year and we'll be stronger this year. In some big games we lost too quickly - that shouldn't happen at this level.
"What's very important is there is a good balance between the older players and the young guys. Mathieu Debuchy is a great player and we're happy to have him. He knows the Premier League very well and that's very important."
And Kieran Gibbs is excited by Sanchez's imminent arrival, saying: "It's an exciting signing for us, and I'm sure all the squad are looking forward to him joining."
