Roma defeated Real Madrid 1-0 at the pre-season International Champions Cup on Tuesday night, in a match that tailed off with some unsavoury scenes.

The unpleasant scene occurred in the 87th minute, when a series of pitch invaders, approximately 20 fans, halted play as they ran onto the pitch to try and meet the superstar players competing in the International Champions Cup match at the Cotton Bowl.

For three minutes, stadium security and Dallas police struggled to cope with the onrushing fans, who seemed to flow from a never-ending stream.

The group of mostly young men appeared to overwhelm the security officials working the game, and players waited patiently as the visitors were rounded up and removed from the field.
One fan, who got a little bit too close to the Madrid bench, was forcibly taken down by security, while other supporters, who mainly seemed to be wearing Los Blancos shirts, ran around the pitch in a chaotic manner.
Noticeably, one of the pitch invaders was holding a Palestinian flag.
