WENGER BELIEVES FABREGAS WENT TO HIS PREFERRED CLUB

Arsenal's Manager Arsene Wenger believes that Cesc Fabregas 'landed where he wanted to go' following claims the midfielder did not want to return to Arsenal.
Fabregas left Barcelona to join Chelsea earlier this summer, but Arsenal had an option to try to re-sign their former captain three years after he left the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that Fabregas was 'not open' to rejoining Arsenal and that it was an 'easy job' to persuade the Spain international to move to Stamford Bridge.
Wenger is aware of the comments, but the Arsenal manager would not be drawn on whether Fabregas was opposed to returning to the club.
"I think people came out and said he wanted to go to Chelsea," said Wenger after Saturday’s friendly win over Boreham Wood.

Wenger has been active in the transfer market this summer after adding Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy to his squad, and he has also been linked with several midfielders.
He is planning further additions to his ranks, with a goalkeeper on the agenda following Lukasz Fabianski’s move to Swansea City and the end of Emiliano Viviano’s loan spell.
"I'm happy with the business I’ve done until now but it’s not over," said Wenger.
"There is still a long way to go and I’ll bring in another goalkeeper for sure."
