SCHWARZER SIGNS A NEW ONE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH CHELSEA
The 41-year-old goalkeeper joined Jose Mourinho’s side on a free transfer from Fulham last July and made 12 appearances in all competitions last season.
The former Australia international deputised for Petr Cech, who required shoulder surgery, towards the end of last season and featured in both legs of Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have made a statement in June that the club are open to offers for Petr Cech this summer and are preparing to make Thibaut Courtois their first-choice goalkeeper next season.
